I went to the gym before dinner and did the elliptical for 45 minutes before Zumba. Lucky for me, I was forced to work out next to one of my biggest pet peeves at the gym. The person who shouts to their neighbor next to them and annoys everyone around them. The man kept shouting “Las Vegas!” to the woman next to him and I wanted to tear my hair out. The gym is not the place for loud conversations, especially when I am trying to jam out Dierks Bentley!
Anyways, workout was great and Zumba was ok. The instructor on Thursday is the best, but tonight’s is decent. I just really think because I am so in shape that the class is more of a light workout. Its why I usually try to do my main workout beforehand. Hopefully, tomorrow my injured calf muscle will cooperate and I can try to get in a 4 mile run. I’m crossing my fingers because my shoes are about ready to give out on me.
Dinner was delish, though. I warmed up some veggie soup I made last week with sweet potatoes, yellow squash, and green beans. I paired it with a spinach salad; it was a good, light meal to follow up a weekend of treats. No pics of the eats because I didn’t want to leave the living room and my roommates don’t know about the blog, yet. Tomorrow, I will try and do better with the eats.
In other happenings, my sister has decided to talk to an Army Reserve Recruitment officer. Now, if you knew my sister than you would know she isn’t your typical Army girl. My dad was in the Air Force for 21 years, but it isn’t something we’ve ever pursued. She is a full time student and wants to look at ways to pay for school, especially since she is thinking about med school. I don’t know if it would work out; my sister doesn’t do well with authority figures. However, she said she needed more structure in her life. I’m proud of her that she might gain some direction in her life, but I hope she thinks things through before making a final decision.
Anyways, have a fabulous night and I will see you all in the AM!!
